In the midst of the 2020 war, a group of dedicated diasporans in Los Angeles recognized the pressing need to provide immediate aid to those affected by the ongoing war. With unwavering determination and a shared commitment, we united to support hundreds of families and Veterans in need.

As our efforts deepened, it became evident that the demand for assistance exceeded our initial expectations. In response, Veterans of Armenia, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, was established with a mission to empower individuals worldwide to make a meaningful impact in our cherished homeland.

Through frequent visits to Armenia, we gained a comprehensive understanding of the on-ground situation. It was clear that thousands of wounded and amputee veterans were living in deplorable conditions, lacking access to essential healthcare, and desperately needing mental and physical support. To better coordinate and maximize our efforts, we forged partnerships with hospitals, clinics, and various organizations dedicated to supporting our veterans and their families, aiding their acclimatization after the war.

Trust and transparency are the cornerstones of our work with the Armenian Diaspora. We understand the paramount importance of establishing and nurturing these relationships. We prioritize conducting all fundraising, collaborations, and humanitarian initiatives with openness, transparency, and accountability. Our commitment to these principles has earned us the highest accolade of global trust in a remarkably short span of time: in 2021, the Veterans of Armenia received the prestigious Platinum Seal of Transparency.

Through a verity of charitable programs, we’ve enhanced the lives of hundreds of Veterans and their families. We’ve provided partner hospitals with cutting-edge technology, rehabilitation equipment, funded the construction of a state-of-the-art prosthetic center, adapted living spaces for disabled Veterans to meet their needs, and offered vital psychological support to those striving to rebuild their lives in the aftermath of war. Furthermore, we place great emphasis on educational programs, providing our heroic youth with opportunities for a brighter future.

Our foundation’s mission goes beyond providing immediate assistance. We aim to unite Armenians, inspire hope, nurture mutual support, and show that in times of crisis, unity empowers us to face challenges with increased resilience.”
