Dear Veterans of Armenia,

I am honored to be selected as the recipient of the Veterans of Armenia scholarship. I appreciate your kindness, which allowed me to have this wonderful experience.
During my military service, my biggest dream was to be a part of the American University of Armenia and to have the chance to be one of the students. I was studying for the university exams there, which was quite challenging for me since I was a war participant. Now, because of your foundation, that dream became a reality. The past month has given me so many new opportunities and has enabled me to broaden my horizon.

During the classes at AUA, I was able to draw parallels between my life in the army and the world I live in now. It is so interesting to see how the 2 years in the army and the university are becoming a part of shaping the person I am becoming.

I’m gaining the communicative knowledge that I was waiting for my whole life. I was a shy person, and this type of education is beneficial for me. Meeting new people and communicating with them is giving me some new skills, which I’m sure will help me during my future career.

My family and I cannot afford the tuition due to different circumstances, so I am very thankful for receiving your thoughtful gift. Because of your scholarship, I can study at AUA and build my future.

Once again, I want to let you know that the opportunity that you gave me, changed my world.

Thank you again for giving me the opportunity to be educated.
